An idyllic ballad, bouncing on sweet clouds of lofi hip-hop beats.

West-coast bass producer MiMOSA has hit a stride once again with his new downtempo EP “Flower of Life”. Inspired by the lofi hiphop genre, on this EP MiMOSA puts out deeply melodic and chill tunes alongside his iconic swagger and basslines. Tracks like “Wild Nature” and “Tru Luv” bring you to your blissful happy place, but can easily get your body moving and grooving on the dancefloor in no time. MiMOSA is a producer who cannot miss and this EP proves to be no exception.

“Flower of Life” is an entrancing track that will take you on an auditory exploration.
The wobbling synth wave in this track will take you on a journey on its own. Starting with a chill and ambient sound, it transforms into a soft, trap beat while still keeping that tranquilizing feel. The vocal samples are speckled throughout to give additional texture, layered on top of the synth-heavy track. While you may not think that lofi and trap do not mix, MiMOSA mixes these polarized sounds in one track, ending up with a melodic and captivating sound. The song is part of the Flower of Life EP, MiMOSA’s first release of 2021.
Add this one to your grind-mode work/focus playlist for an extra productive day.

We’ve got one for the bassheads today: a fresh tune from ADIIDAS via WAKAAN. The producer, who has been making head-banging beats for years, has caught the eye of the trailblazing bass label. “Encounters” is part of his EP Ice Cold, and it’s a dark, sample-laden banger.
The song sounds like you’re being abducted by aliens and taken to a different planet to listen to their mixtape. It’s a static and snare-filled tune, with a slow and swaying, yet relentless bassline. There’s a little breakdown in the middle that is refreshing and surprising, and then it’s right back to the wubs. This is one that OG WAKAAN fans are going to love.
Here is what ADIIDAS had to say about creating this new EP:
After suddenly gaining an abundance of free time during the quarantine I knew it was the perfect opportunity to put everything I had into growing and advancing my sound. “Ice Cold” refers to a new refreshing take on my already dark and bouncy style. From this idea grew a project I created with close friends and the collaborations of like-minded artists and it eventually became ‘Ice Cold’.

https://www.theuntz.com/news/kanizzle-remixes-genius-mistakes-illusia/
We have been repping Kanizzle's booty bass beats for a while on our feed. His latest track tackles “Illusia” from Genius Mistakes, the duo of producer/DJs v:shal kanwar and Brooklyn Shanti.
The original track is a laid-back, delicate, Afro-Cuban affair featuring the soft-spoken intonations of Bulgarian vocalist Maya Zhalova. Discussing her time living in India, Zhalova's spoken word remains, but Kanizzle takes the beat into hyperdrive with a punchy meter familiar to his fans from coast to coast.
We love whenever Kanizzle brings us one of his new tracks, because he tirelessly pushes his own production boundaries, and fuses world music that we rarely get to hear.

“If the music can be called aesthetic, then this is Ape Suit. Delight in every beat. Nostalgic and surreal sound You Are Going to Die and Everything is Ok is 24 minutes of pleasure that will seem like eternity to you.”

You may feel a sense of melancholy from the title, You Are Going To Die And Everything Is OK, and you would be correct, except that it also provides a sense of warmth, soft and tender hope and chilled out vibes for your soul. Whether it’s a cold day snuggle, an early morning sunrise with a brisk breeze, a springtime celebration or a stoned days in sweltering heat, somehow this EP will still find a way to fit that exact moment.

“FRQ NCY changes things up with “Epiphany.” Giving fans a very sweet treat with this feel-good tune. I could imagine myself driving through the redwoods while this was playing in the background. This is a different style than what I usually think of when I think of FRQ NCY, but not in a bad way at all. He is a great producer and is showing his ability to change up what he creates.”
“One of the most refreshing pieces on In Unity, ‘Epiphany’ brings unmatched energy to the table filled with unbridled and unrelenting positivity. A track that truly makes it difficult not to smile and get up and groove, this equates to a tremendous treat on the ears and a pleasant jolt to the bones. FRQ NCY has truly upped his sound design to immaculate levels, and his artistic prowess will surely carry him to major career milestones in the coming years.”
