Her stage name is representative of her role in the family tree of Swiss rap - and beyond that: Big Zis - the big sister. Born in 1976 in Winterthur, whose real name is Franziska Schläpfer, her career began in Zurich in the 1990s. As an MC she brings the American chant such as B. on the “Zürislang” sampler in dialect form. She caricatures the clichés of the male-dominated scene, counters with all the more ironic and clear texts, because: “Big Zis dörf everything.” This also applies to their musical openness to punk, rock and electronic elements. In 2002 she was awarded the City of Zurich's Work Year.
